Uses:
* Mainly used for water purification and paper-making.
- Used as a flocculant for urban water and wastewater treatment in water purification.
- Used as an additive, colorant, defoamer, etc. to increase paper hardness in paper-making,
* Used as a mordant and anti-seepage agent for printing and dyeing industry.
* Used as a clarifier for oils and fats in the oil industry.
* Used as a deodorizer and decolorizer in the petroleum industry.
* Used as a preservative. Used as an astringent in medicine in the wood industry.
* Often mixed with baking soda and foaming agent to form foam fire extinguishing agent in fire fighting.
* Used for the production of chrome yellow and as a precipitant in the pigment industry, as well as for the production of other aluminum salts, ammonium alum, and potassium alum.
